     Larry & Susan are 3rd generation, Peoria born and raised.   Building is in Larry's blood as his grandfather and father established noah herman Sons Builders. He grew up on jobsites working alongside master carpenters and his skilled family. There came an opportunity for Larry to start a new specialized building company, Grand Valley, LLC. Within those years he designed and built exciting homes, many of them along the river bluffs of Peoria Heights. 

     Larry built their family several homes within Peoria; however they chose to move back to the Heights area in the very house Susan grew up in and Larry's father built all those year before. They both enjoy the complete lifestyle the area provides.

     Eleven years ago, the Hermans were called to leave their hammers and nails and start a division of the ministry, Midwest Food Bank, in Peoria. Providing food, hope and love to those in need.

     It has been Larry’s dream to build a totally unique way to live and experience Peoria Heights.  Twelve21 Duryea encapsulates that vision. Larry toured upscale apartments throughout USA gathering concepts and features that would be an asset to those who will call it home.

      BSB Design, one of the foremost design architect firms located in Chicago created a design and blueprint refining his vision.
